National Customer Service Awards

Promoting excellence, best practice and innovation in Customer Service and Customer Affairs

Presentation dinner Tuesday 23rd September 2008

National Customer Awards Logo ESTABLISHED TEN YEARS AGO , the purpose of the National Customer Service Awards is to promote excellence, best practice and innovation in Customer Service and Consumer Affairs, and to highlight their vital importance in today's business climate.

The range of award categories is designed to recognise the most important activities. The Customer Services categories are open to entries from companies across the whole spectrum of industry, commerce and the public sector and from organisations of all sizes.

The whole process culminates in a fabulous Oscar style awards ceremony. Over 1500 Customer Service Professionals attended the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Tuesday 23rd September 2008.

The Wow Awards™ is an award for outstanding customer service. It is the only category where individuals or businesses are nominated by their customers!

Haringey Council

Haringey Council has been using The WOW! Awards since June 2006 – piloted in Registrar’s, Libraries and Customer Services – resulting in a staggering 471 nominations.

This success led to a corporate roll out in May 2007 and they now have more than a 1000 nominations!

Haringey Council is the first UK local authority to start using The WOW! Awards. With a lot of help from Chris McLean, Corporate Customer Focus Manager, the roll out of the awards has been even more successful than we ever imagined.

Chris said: “The WOW! Awards have been a real boost for customer services staff in Haringey, and winning the National Customer Service award has shown that we can compete with the best. I’d certainly encourage other local authorities to get involved.”

If you want to find out more about how you can use The WOW Awards for your business, all year round then please do contact us on 01438 310191 or email Lucy Best at lucy@TheWowAwards.co.uk

Please feel free to take a look at the brochure for this year’s event! You will find all information about the awards and all of the other categories advertised here in February 2008.
